DAY 17: Find Support

eatingtogetherWe all need someone cheering for us. A key to the success of a healthier you is the support you receive from others. You need someone who speaks words of challenge, encouragement, and support for the changes you’re making.

If you’re married, your spouse is a great supporter. Maybe a good friend, co-worker or another family member can provide the encouragement you need to make this healthy journey. Don’t attempt to walk this journey alone, find someone who can be your encouragement.

Support and encouragement come in many different forms. For someone to hear the empowering comments make a difference. For others, having someone walk the new diet or exercise journey with you makes all the difference. If you are the only one in your family or circle choosing to eat and live a healthier lifestyle, it’s going to be difficult.

For me, I was fortunate to have a spouse who supported healthier eating habits. She encourages me; I help her. It makes it easier for the shopping list and the stuff we keep in the pantry when we’re working from the same playbook. I couldn’t do it alone and without her support.

Hi Brad! I’m enjoying your daily posts to a healthier lifestyle and have been working to get my butt back in shape physically and mentally.

I’d love to see you post daily thoughts that are tied to the benefits the healthier lifestyle. Maybe it’s a tie-in to your weekly message on Sundays or just something that’s on your heart.

Thanks for your leadership and all you do to help us in our walk with Him.

Mark, thanks for the comment and I appreciate the insight on additional posts. I’ve got some ideas I’m floating on some application posts with my first couple of talk series in 2019. I think they’ll be in line with what you’re thinking. Thanks again for commenting.
