You probably noticed this morning a different look at Cool Spring to the left of the Welcome Center Entrance. The Hilliard Park Garden Club planted a new garden in memory of Meg Menzies. Meg died in a tragic accident earlier this year when she was struck by an automobile while running in Hanover. Many of the Hilliard Park Garden Club members are also Cool Spring members and wanted to do something meaningful by which to remember Meg.
At the conclusion of the services today, we took a moment to dedicate the garden in Meg’s memory with an acknowledgement, responsive reading and prayer. I want to thank the Hilliard Park Garden Club for their thoughtfulness, creativity, and hard work. You made a beautiful space. What a wonderful and meaningful way to honor Meg’s memory!
