We are called to live an authentic and genuine faith. This authentic faith is a demonstrated faith. When I use the word “demonstrated” I don’t mean a performance. We’ve got a lot of performers and rehearsing actors out there. It’s something that’s real and not make-believe. It’s a faith that is lived out of who you are and where you’ve walked. It’s not a hypothesized faith, but a realistic and practical expression of Christ in me. I want a faith that is real, not one that needs to be dusted off weekly like an old unused Bible. I want a faith that pours out of the transforming presence of Christ in me. I want a faith that demonstrates Jesus and not one that draws attention to me – only Jesus.
