Here’s the clip I made reference to last Sunday in my message, “Don’t Give Up!” It’s an incredible example of the power of encouragement – especially of the importance of having someone walk with us during times of trial, hurt, and disappointment. I love watching Derek’s dad run onto the track to walk with his son. Perseverance is an essential trait to be lived out in God’s strength. This I know: Life isn’t without pain and doing the right thing isn’t always easy – Live and do the right thing anyway!

Laura is so right – it was a powerful message and a needed word. I am a “siesta” – part of Beth Moore’s blog group and we are memorizing 2 verses a month on the 1st and 15th of the month – so mine for Sept 15 is Hebrews 10:36. I love the “you will receive what He has promised” part of that! Thanks for bringing a much needed fresh word! Thanks for making us think!
