Today is Katey’s birthday. She’s turning twenty, the oldest of our three children. Katey is a great young lady; her mom and dad are extremely proud. Our pride comes from her being rather than from her many accomplishments. We’re proud of Katey just because she’s Katey. I can still remember the day she was born as if it were yesterday. Holding her in my arms just minutes after she arrived is a memory I’ll always cherish. This birthday we’ll spend apart unfortunately. She’s finishing up her sophomore year in college. Due to all schedules, we’ve been prevented from getting together last weekend or for the upcoming weekend. Though our in person celebration has been postponed, I still want my little (big) girl to have great birthday. Happy Birthday Katey!
