As some of you know, my doctoral project entails developing a curriculum for teaching team building skills within the context of a multi-staffed church. Many churches, if not all, struggle with effective teamwork among its leadership groups. There are many reasons why, just not enough time or space to detail in one post. Most function as a group, just not necessarily as team. This is a distinct difference between a group and a team. Personally, I’d like to be a part of an intentional shift in modern church culture from groups to teams within the context of local church leadership.
