This is sort of old news, but I want to be counted among the ones who applaud Miss California and her response to Perez Hilton’s (which should have never been a judge to begin with) question (which should have never been a question in a beauty pageant). Carrie Prejean was asked for her opinion and she gave it – simple as that. It’s unfortunate that Miss California’s answer possibly cost her a title, but she answered with her conviction and with grace.
Proponents of gay marriage keep pushing this envelope of tolerance, yet are unwilling to be tolerant of an opposing position. Gay marriage supporters have yet to learn that the church isn’t against them or even mad at them; we support an opposing position that values marriage as being between one man and one woman. The extreme anger and venomous demonstrations are exhibited from supporters of gay marriage. Just check out Perez Hilton’s video response on YouTube. His behavior alone reveals an angry, confused, and conflicted young man. No one should be angry at Perez Hilton, we should feel sorry him. He’s no different than anyone else who is struggling to fill a God shaped void with things that will never satisfy. Only Christ satisfies.
