I haven’t seen Mall Cop, but I will (at least planning on it). It may appear a little ridiculous to you, but there seems to be some good life lessons (even sermon material) here. Take this clip for example; it’s easy to get distracted in our routine. We get busy; take our eyes of the task, and then boom! It’s when we get hurt. I think of Peter and his walking expedition on water. Same sort of story, He took his eyes off Christ and then starts to sink. Many miss the fact he actually walked on water. I think it’s worth the prayer to ask God to make us mindful of the distractions and to give us discernment enough to distinguish them for what they really are – distractions. We’re too busy with too much to loose to get distracted and miss God’s path. Just a thought!
