Now we’ll know! Perhaps it is jest or malice, but every year Jesus goes missing from nativity scenes across the country. In order to combat these manger scene thieves, technology is protecting some nativity scenes this year. Brickhouse Security, a New York based company is helping churches this holiday season by providing Jesus with a special GPS device to help track him down in case he suddenly goes missing. Churches aren’t always able to afford the unit purchase price and the subscription rate. These devices normally cost anywhere from $300 to $800, but Brickhouse is providing them free of charge this Christmas season to various non-profit groups. In case you’re “tempted” to “borrow” a manger scene resident this Christmas, remember that you could be taking on more than you bargained for – so borrower beware.
